Contents
The aim of the course is to provide a solid basis for your further studies. At the end of the course, you will not only know what is meant by (translational) scientific working, but will also be able to apply this knowledge.
During the course, we will therefore address the following topics, among others:
What is science?
What is scientific working?
Basics and methods of translation studies (research, empirical studies)
Academic writing (e.g. structure and outline of term papers and theses)
Correct citation
Efficient resource search
Additional information
The course is a blended learning programme, i.e. face-to-face sessions are complemented by the opportunities for collaboration offered by the internet and new media. A basic level of media competence or willingness to engage with new media is therefore expected. An internet-capable device should be brought to each session.
The course language is German. Organisational issues will be discussed in the first session.
