Contents
We will look at the question of what role quantities and what role qualities play in the study of translation, we will look at what role examples play in theory building, what the difference is between conspiracies and empirically grounded theories, and we will ask ourselves what an axiom is , why it is important that scientifically claims can be falsified, what probabilities actually are and what role they play in science and translation. We will ask what the difference is between experimental research and other methods. We look at what the scientific basis and consequences of large language models are. We will also address the philosophical question of why any translation is always underdetermined, what role ethnographic observation can play in translation and why neurolinguistics has a lot to do with translation.Dates
