Our brain controls many processes in our body. But not only vital functions are in its charge. With our brain we can think, feel and process language. On the one hand, our brain is responsible for the reception and production of language. But it is also influenced and changed by the use of language. In this course we will deal with this fascinating research field and discuss and learn about the following topics:- Structure and functions of the brain
- How to investigate the brain
- Language processing in the brain (language areas, aphasia, bilingualism …)
All students will have to give a presentation and to hand in a term paper at the end of the semester.
