Why do we have accents? Why does the pronunciation of our mother tongue often shine through when we are learning a new language? In this course we will talk about the different aspects of pronunciation: the basics of human sound production, language acquisition in childhood and adulthood and finally contrastive differences between several language pairs.To pass this course, you must give a presentation and write a term paper.
