TRA&CO Symposium 2016

27th - 29th April 2016

Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz

Germersheim, Germany

We are pleased to announce the inauguration of the newly established TRA&CO (Translation & Cognition) Center with one of the first neuro laboratories in translation studies worldwide. Labs using new empirical methods in translation process research are increasing around the world. Our lab in Germersheim will be one of just a few Translation Studies labs to use neurolinguistic methods (EEG) and to combine EEG and eye-tracking research. By using these methods we want to gain insights especially into translation didactics and translation competence. To honour this occasion, numerous internationally renowned researchers have accepted our invitation to support the launch of the TRA&CO Center with a symposium. This symposium is set to celebrate past achievements and to aim for new frontiers.
